Reinforcements improve Cádiz

The winter market changed the face of Cádiz. The additions of Luis Hernández, Fede San Emeterio, Alcaraz, Idrissi and Lucas Pérez give the team a level jumpwhich is already only one point away from salvation. The vast majority of them are already fixed in Sergio González’s eleven. Luis Hernández arrived free from Maccabi Tel Aviv to shore up the defense this season and another optional. From the first moment, the player from Madrid became a fixture in a defense that, together with Chust, has raised his level in the 465 minutes that the center-back has been on the pitch.

The center of the field was one of the areas to be reinforced in January and Cádiz did it with two old acquaintances of their coach: Fede San Emeterio and Alcaraz (both on loan from Valladolid). The three coincided in the pucelano team and that can be seen on the pitch. Both Fede and Alcaraz are the extension of their coach and nobody moves them from the engine room (1,030 minutes between them). In addition, Alcaraz put the icing on the cake of his good moment with his second goal with Cádiz last day.

The yellows signed, on loan, Idrissi, from Sevilla, to strengthen their bands. The attacker was seen lacking minutes in his first appearances and that, added to the scheme of three defenders and two lanes, delayed the player’s explosion. However, the duel against Rayo Vallecano may have marked a before and after during his time at Cádiz: he channeled the game of his own, gave an assist and scored the goal of tranquility. Finally, Cádiz wanted to alleviate the lack of a goal with Lucas Pérez, signed from Alavés. The Galician player, who missed the first win at home due to suspension, has been adding minutes with Sergio until he became untouchable in that scheme of three strikers.
