MADRID, 3 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Red Bull Formula 1 team presented its car and new design for the 2023 World Cup during an event in New York this Friday, a new version of the RB19 that the Dutchman Max Verstappen will try to keep up.
The current double world champion will be the rival to beat and will once again have Sergio Pérez as a teammate, with the aim at the Milton Keynes factory of also defending the Constructors’ World Championship.
In addition to Verstappen and Pérez, the new third driver, Australian Daniel Ricciardo, was also present, as well as team boss Christian Horner. The Red Bull ‘look’ remains in its traditional blue, yellow and red line.
However, Horner revealed that there will be a contest among fans to choose the design of the single-seaters in the races in the United States: Miami, Austin and Las Vegas.
Among Red Bull’s plans to hold the attempt by Ferrari and Mercedes to compete in the World Cup, as the biggest contenders, the Austrian squad revealed this Friday the agreement with Ford for the development of the engine that they will use from 2026.
“It will be an incredible season. Our rivals, for sure, will not stay still. We expect a competitive Ferrari, Mercedes will be there and there are other teams that can also have great progression,” Horner said about what he expects in 2023.
“Now everything is unknown. We have to focus on ourselves. In a few weeks we will see all the cars in Bahrain and then we will wonder if we forgot something or not,” he added.
