Real Valladolid advances in its return to women's football

In recent times, a sector of the public has demanded that Real Valladolid address its return to women's football, on which you are working. After three seasons at José Zorrilla, the leadership of the entity chaired by Ronaldo is determined to take the step for the next campaign, through an ambitious project that involves the creation of a quarry, as has always been said that it was the intention, but also of a senior team.

In this way, and as AS has learned, the club would recover a section that it had for two years a decade ago, through the creation of a structure that has already taken its first steps, in the form of conversations with stakeholders who could be linked to the different teams, but also through a greater presence of the female figure, both as players in the Foundation schools and in the lower categories, as qualified professionals in different departments such as psychology or physiotherapy.

Although the intention was to create this section when the new sports city was built, the club is determined to advance the start of this adventure, aware that all Primera teams, except Real Valladolid and Celta, have women's teams and that the evolution of the sport 'forces' to do so, something that has the approval of Ronaldo, represented in the figure of David Espinar, director of the presidential cabinet, who has been personally involved in the project, along with those responsible for the quarry.

Not in vain, in addition to involving more women in the lower male categories, the intention of Alberto Marcos and his collaborators was to have already started this section in 2018, something that was preferred to leave in 'stand by' when Ronaldo arrived so that both he and the professionals who came from his hand outlined other strategic lines of development. Once the club and the surroundings are known, and advanced plans such as those to reform the stadium or Los Anexos, the idea with which they work is that the moment of 'futfem' is now.

The main lines of this project go through giving a special importance to the training of female players, something that would automatically make Real Valladolid the main engine of women's football in Castilla y León, although without neglecting the competitive nature and the option of being represented by a senior age team. At this point in the course, the club does not rule out any ladder and has several open paths, or at least, known, mainly in its closest geographical environment.

In this sense, it should be remembered that in 2020 the CD Parquesol, an entity of the city that is active in Reto Iberdrola (second national division), opened up to the possibility of reaching an agreement that was not finally contemplated, and that, before that, Real Valladolid considered the option of acquiring the CD Heel (current Real Madrid). As this newspaper has learned, to this day There is no absorption commitment with any team, although there is an interest in acquiring one in the highest category possible, without ruling out any scenario. In any case, anyone who is approached in this sense would be marked by the ambition and commitment with which the managers involved want to undertake said return to the 'futfem'.
