REAL SOCIEDAD 2- CELTA 1 | La Real reacts and regains fifth place

With much suffering and even with some controversy, Real Sociedad reacts at the right time to beat Celta and regain fifth place in the table, taking advantage of the punctures of Betis and Villarreal. The txuri-urdin team had to overcome Hugo Mallo's initial goal for a team from Vigo that came out very well in the game, but was later overtaken by the momentum and the greater need for victory of its rival. Portu and Januzaj, after another penalty missed by Isak, turned the score around before half-time, then a fun and entertaining first half, a more than interesting show that could not be seen in Europe with the Super League. It would be a shame. Maybe it was not super, but it was super worthy. La Real breaks its losing streak of five consecutive games without winning and is relying on itself in the European fight. Celta perhaps said his last word in Donosti in that fight.

Because the first part could not disappoint anyone. He had everything. And from the beginning. Alternatives, disputes, soccer, brilliant actions, intensity, speed, controversy and, of course, goals. Celta started better, but Real got back together soon and came to rest more fully, so much so that they were able to overcome Hugo Mallo's initial goal, and were able to have a wider advantage. Almost without taking a position in the seat, Remiro was already able to take a shot from Santi Mina. In the next action Araujo takes Isak ahead, but Gil Manzano did not want to see anything. Without recovering from that action, Aritz Elustondo entered Santi Mina strong but without bad intention, causing a spectacular wound in the tibia. The VAR notified Gil Manzano for a possible red that in the end remained yellow.

Right after, because there was no truce, Celta managed to score first in a fantastically finished corner kick by Hugo Mallo. Real Sociedad was put to the task of looking for an equalizer, and the goal against had an opposite effect, because it plugged into the game and began to grow little by little until it was able to turn the scoreboard before the break. First with a delicatessen from Portu, biting wonderfully before the departure of Iván Villar, after a no less good pass between the lines of Carlos Fernández, who he enjoyed as he had not done so far in the Real between the lines. Isak was able to score 2-1, but the penalty that he himself had caused with Iván Villar, was stopped by the Celta goalkeeper. It was necessary to wait for another maximum penalty, also clear, from Araujo on Le Normand so that, this time, Januzaj would hit from the fateful point to overcome the game and that the Real would get ahead. With that result, the break was reached, after 45 very entertaining minutes.

The second half was expected to be just as entertaining as the first. But the game was falling in intensity and quality. It started just as electric, with good actions from the recently released Oyarzabal and with Portu in the finishing line, but the post prevented Beniel's from expanding the score. Then came the muscular problems of Real players, such as Carlos Fernández and Le Normand, and the changes made the game become more monotonous. La Real began to trust everything to the gallops of Portu and focused on defending the loot they had achieved in the first half. And Celta attacked with more heart than head, with little continuous play, and although he ended up locking the royalists in his goal, it was difficult for him to find the way to the goal. In this way, Celta no longer have options to fight for Europe, and Real once again grabs fifth place in their fight to travel the continent again.
