Real Madrid will wear black armbands and observe a minute’s silence at Anfield for Amancio Amaro

MADRID, 21 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Real Madrid will wear black armbands this Tuesday in tribute to former white footballer Amancio Amaro, who died at the age of 83, in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 match against Liverpool at Anfield (9:00 p.m.), in which a minute of silence will also be kept in his memory.

As reported by UEFA sources to Europa Press, the players of the Madrid squad will be able to wear the distinctive black armband, with which they will remember the former Galician player, who played for 14 seasons in the white team and who won nine Leagues, one European Cup and three Cups.

This Tuesday, from 3:00 p.m., the funeral chapel of the former soccer player and honorary president of Real Madrid has been installed, through which all the fans who want to say goodbye will pass.
