Real Madrid vs RB Leipzig: Time, date, where to watch and previous statistics

Real Madrid and RB Leipzig face each other this Wednesday at the Santiago Bernabéu (9:00 p.m.) in the second leg of the round of 16 of the Champions League, a match to which Ancelotti’s team arrives with an advantage in the tie after winning the match in first leg in Germany 0-1.

The white team is shining on the offensive side in the top continental competition, being the second highest scoring team, tied with Atlético de Madrid, with 17 goals, only surpassed by Manchester City’s 21. For its part, Leipzig has managed to pierce the rival goal on 12 occasions.

Regarding the number of shots taken by both teams, Real Madrid is the second team that shoots the most with 138 attempts, while the Germans do the same on 105 occasions.

In the distribution section, the whites complete 92.4% of the passes they attempt, a figure higher than that of RB Leipzig, which completes 84.9%. Furthermore, the average possession of the Spanish team is also higher than that of the German team with 57.4% by 46%.

DEFENSIVE STATISTICS

In the defensive panorama, the ‘merengue’ team also has better statistics than the Germans, conceding seven goals in the seven games played, compared to the 11 that Leipzig has conceded. Furthermore, Real Madrid receives fewer shots against per game than the Germans with 11.1, compared to 14.6.

Regarding aerial duels, Real Madrid players win in 60% of those they compete, compared to 45.1% in those won by RB Leipzig players. Finally, the Germans recover 7.9 balls per game in the opponent’s field compared to the 7.3 recovered by the Spanish team.
