Real Madrid-Real Sociedad The comeback rehearsal works

It served to tie the knot to three quarters of the League and as a rehearsal for the monster that comes to see him on Wednesday. Madrid experienced the high pressure that PSG is preparing for against Real, and confirmed that their comeback spirit is still in place and fine-tuned long-range missiles. Two of them, from Camavinga and Modric, veterans and novices, turned around a match in which Ancelotti’s men, as so often, entered buttocks. Nothing that the Croatian, perhaps the best midfielder this stadium has ever seen, can’t fix to give it a happy ending.

Camavinga for Kroos and the titularísimos, augmentative that came out to Pellegrini to lower the tone of Raúl’s first substitutions. And Asensio hasn’t gotten that far yet, taking over from Rodrygo this time. That square is still dancing. The rest is a full-fledged is what there is without the formal proclamation that Koeman made in his day. Ancelotti rightly understands that the League is not yet a bird in hand and relapses into his eleven, PSG or anyone else is waiting. La Real, on the other hand, took a step back, with Merino in a double role as playmaker and apex of a trivote that Zubeldia and Illarramendi closed. The Bernabéu always subtracts courage.

Carvajal’s penalty

A tactical adjustment that La Real soon found useful, taking advantage of their first arrival. In a fit of incontinence, Carvajal sent Silva to the ground with a notorious stomp. It did not seem like an irremediable situation, but the thing ended in a penalty and a goal from a specialist, Oyarzabal. Nothing new for this procrastinating Madrid, used to leaving everything for last.

Whatever the classification says, Real’s success lies in the versatility of its squad. He mixes violins (Silva, mainly) and trumpets. That is to say, that he knows how to handle himself in order and concert. Starting with the goal, he put together a good defensive set-up in which Madrid was lost. Structures like this are not sent to the ground playing on the foot. Because Vinicius, the individual solution when the embarrassment is collective, Imanol already knew. That fuss is defused with a good aid system.

with cannon fire

Madrid did not understand the game until the crazy end of the first half. From the start he lacked the emotion of someone who has in his hand to deal an almost definitive blow to the League. This pathology goes chronic. And then he lacked vertigo in the movement and height of sights on his sides to assault that armored car. Because that’s what the Real was, a group of virtuosos derived from the pediment. And then the storm broke. Without prior notice. Camavinga hit a left-footed shot from 20 meters that equalized. And he immediately stole a ball that ended in another goal, by Benzema, annulled by a offside microscope. Madrid was already in an unstoppable version. Where the infantry had not arrived, the artillery thundered. Another left foot, as far away as the previous one and with even better placement, by Modric turned the game around in a flash. Go thinking and where to erect a statue to the Croatian for when he leaves, within a decade. Even in the worst moments his door is always open.

Imanol, stunned, recanted. He put Rafinha in and delayed Zubeldia as a central defender. He also shot Djouahra, a bullet. And he retired Zaldua, tortured by Vinicius, which flourished as soon as the game opened. Match that Madrid already had in a fist, now deep on the wings, unleashed on the cons and finished off by Benzema, who forced Remiro to make two good saves. He couldn’t do it on the third shot, but another offside shot by Rodrygo invalidated the goal. The fourth, which ended in the third goal, came from the penalty spot. Until then, the Frenchman was taken down by Elustondo to Vinicius on the line that the VAR magnifying glass specified. The Brazilian’s second marker fared as badly as the first. Then Asensio entered and made the fourth in the first one he had, one of his specialties. And Madrid told itself that on Wednesday it can be done.
