Real Madrid-Rayo Vallecano Always Benzema

cup by cup, Madrid walks towards the title. He did not give PSG cause for concern in Vallecas and he did give hope to a commendable Rayo in his proposal and in his commitment, but he did not have Benzema on his side. Even on his worst days, and this was, he finds a way to sneak in. He invented the goal that changed everything and he ended up signing it, with Vinicius as the necessary collaborator. Courtois, with two great interventions, did the rest. Too many honorable mentions for the Belgian when we are talking about the leader.

In the football ecosystem, being a great forces you to pay attention to what is imminent (Rayo, Real) and what is important (PSG and whatever comes up). Being a legend, which is going one step further, supposes become aware that everything is essential, from a Super Cup enriched in the Middle East to a Champions League final. That is the history of Madrid, which does not admit a single resignation, and Ancelotti applies it to the letter: whoever touches always plays those who (in his Italian judgment) are the best. That is, the same. The same ones, the reliable ones, are the ones who played Vallecas, except Alaba plus Nacho. And with them, by tubular, the team strengthened its leadership.

El Rayo is not a newcomer to use, neither in his elevens nor in his customs. He doesn’t like to wait, he doesn’t like to walk without the ball, he doesn’t like downtime. Going for Madrid he went with the same courage as against any other player with less honors and fewer points. Magnificent for the show, because Ancelotti’s pendular team did not spare this time the first half, as usual. And that coming and going often ended in the areas.

Asensio’s good start

Thus they were distributing blows to the air. three let go Asensiowhose left foot has been the judge of last resort in many of Madrid’s recent commitments, but ran into a gigantic Luca Zidane. And three times Rayo responded: two headers by Guardiola and a shot to the side of the net by Baby. Iraola preferred his cannon caliber to Isi’s versatility.

Madrid won the game of the midfielders, who also know how to handle themselves in a matchbox like Vallecas with the exception of a distracted and failed Casemiro, and Rayo that of the wings. There, in Balliu and Fran García, which are kilometers long, is its differential fact. Instead, the field had little size for Vinicius. Madrid was doing better on the other sidewalk, Asensio’s, which is beginning to give regularity to his ingenuity.

The equality of the first half was a well-deserved praise for Rayo and a reproach for Madrid,l that a goal that had three objections was annulled: offside, push and hand. It was enough to confirm the first. Before Diaz de Mera had missed a slap from Balliu to Vinicius, susceptible to red, and then he was also lukewarm in a stomp from Casemiro to Óscar Valentín. The VAR did not move a muscle.

Salvador Courtois

Madrid was less after the break for a long time. Not in possession, but in sensations. He arrived less and was exposed more to the cons of Rayowho however got closer to the goal with the aerial game. A superb header from Mario Suárez saved him with a Courtois reflex strike. Another of Guardiola did not take the door. By then Ancelotti had already withdrawn Casemiro. It is neither his year nor was it his party.

Rayo, which is a foreign affairs team, was reactivated on the right with Isi and pulled Falcao, capable of taking care of any lost object in the area. Then Madrid had partially recovered, although he still needed Courtois to throw him one last lifeline by stopping point-blank shots from Trejo and Álvaro García on the same play.

and then it appeared Benzemathe taste and smell of the team, to put a ball through the eye of a needle to Vinicius. He returned it to the Frenchman to push him to an empty door. Neither of them had left a mark on the game until then. They had even deserved the change before Asensio, but the talent was always more intermittent than constant. It is the couple of the year. The immediate future of Madrid is at his feet.
