Real Madrid plans the return of the public to the Bernabéu

After a year and a half empty of fans, the Bernabéu is about to welcome the public again. Real Madrid has started working on the return of the fans to the Chamartín Coliseum next season and is getting in touch with its partners to advance their plans.. “The forecasts for the start of the next season 2021-2022 contemplate the possibility of having an audience in our stands, in the percentages and with the restrictions established by the health authorities,” the letter explains.

At the moment, the white entity has informed its subscribers via email that it has decided not to issue the subscription fee for the 2021-2022 season, the collection of which was scheduled for June 30. The club argues its decision that “In the circumstances envisaged, almost certainly, not all of our subscribers will be able to access each game”. Madrid will transfer the collection of membership fees, which the Assembly approved at 149.19 euros per year.

In its letter, the entity also informs that in the next few days it will communicate “more information about the procedure that the club will establish for requesting tickets for next season's matches.”

The return of the fans to the Bernabéu will not take place, in principle, until the second weekend of September. The club has asked LaLiga to start the championship by playing the first three games away from home. This is a common request in recent years among clubs that have carried out works in stadiums. The draw for the calendar, which will again be asymmetric and conditional, will be held in the coming weeks. The fact of playing the first three games away will allow the stadium to continue without interruptions for another month. The fourth day, if the championship begins on the weekend of August 14 and 15 as proposed by LaLiga, it will be played on Saturday, September 11, since the first weekend of September there is a stoppage of national teams. The Champions, meanwhile, returns on the 14th of that month.
