Real Betis seeks the culmination of its great week in Vitoria

Celta wants to get out of relegation against an agitated Getafe and Villarreal hopes to end their bad streak against Las Palmas

MADRID, 7 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Real Betis seeks to culminate this Sunday against Deportivo Alavés in Mendizorrotza (6:30 p.m.) a round week that will allow it to get closer to the European positions, in a ninth day of LaLiga EA Sports in which Villarreal hopes to end its bad league streak against UD Las Palmas (2:00 p.m.) and in which RC Celta hopes to escape relegation against Getafe (6:30 p.m.).

The green and white team (12), which started the day two points behind sixth place, arrives at the event grown after coming back against Sparta Prague (2-1) and achieving its first victory of the season in the Europa League. In the domestic competition, after draws against Cádiz (1-1) and Granada (1-1), they won decisively against Valencia (3-0).

Meanwhile, the Vitorians (7) mark the permanence zone, with two units ahead of the first of the teams in danger, after achieving a single point from the last 12 in play. Luis García Plaza’s men, in addition, have only managed to score in one of their last four games, which leaves them as the second least scoring team in the category (6).

Manuel Pellegrini will have to deal with the absences of the injured Nabil Fekir, Luiz Henrique, Youssouf Sabaly and Marc Bartra. The babazorros, in addition to the long-term loss of Giuliano Simeone, will have that of Antonio Blanco, sent off in the defeat against Osasuna (0-2), but they recover Jon Guridi.

YELLOW DUEL IN CERAMIC

At the Estadio de la Cerámica, Villarreal hopes to take advantage of the emotional boost of their European victory against Stade de Rennes (1-0) to break a streak of three league games without a victory against UD Las Palmas.

Pacheta’s team (8), thirteenth, six points behind Europe and with three points ahead of the top spots, hope to reach the national team break calmly, after a defeat against Girona (1-2) and two draws against Rayo (1-1) and Getafe (0-0).

Meanwhile, the Canaries, who have the same units (8) as those from Castellón, have alternated victories and defeats in recent weeks, and now want to continue the good feelings against RC Celta (2-1), a duel that They managed to come back with a goal from Marc Cardona in the 97th minute.

Alex Baena must serve the first of his two-game suspension for his expulsion against the Azulón team, joining the absences of Francis Coquelin and Denis Suárez; Xavi García Pimienta’s men will regret the absences of Fabio González, Sandro Ramírez, Eric Curbelo, Alberto Moleiro, Benito Ramírez, Omenuke Mfulu and Julián Araujo.

CELTA WANTS TO GET OUT OF THE REGRESS AGAINST GETAFE

Finally, in Abanca Balaídos, RC Celta needs to forget the dramatic finale at the Gran Canaria Stadium to try to escape relegation against Getafe, who has had a hectic week due to Alfonso Pérez’s statements that have finally caused him to change the name to the Coliseum.

The Galician team (5) has gone more than a month without winning, since it did so on September 1 in Almería (2-3), and has still not won in its fiefdom. Since that day, they have suffered three defeats, the last two with goals in the last minutes, and a draw, and occupy the penultimate place in the table, two points from the permanence zone.

On the other hand, the azulones want to leave the non-sports controversy behind and look for a victory after three days without achieving it in which they fell at the Reale Arena (4-3) and shared the points against Athletic Club (2-2) and Villarreal (0 -0), all to add nine units.

Rafa Benítez will have all his men available, while José Bordalás will have to deal again with the absences of Luis Milla and Enes Ünal, but José Ángel Carmona will be in the group after overcoming his muscle discomfort.
