Real Betis on Wednesday has filed a complaint with the National Police to try to identify the viewer who gave “serious insults” to Athletic Club players and a journalist during the meeting corresponding to day 22 of LaLiga EA Sports disputed in the stadium Benito Villamarín.
Real Betis was aware on Monday of the existence of audios in which “racist comments and/or that incite hatred” aimed at Athletic Club footballers and, since then, has used “all the tools at its disposal” are heard. to try to locate the person in charge of them.
Thus, the entity denounced this incident at the police station in order for the National Police to take another step in the investigation and thus be able to clarify what happened. “In the event that the person is located, the entity will immediately apply the sanctions collected in its internal regulations,” says Real Betis statement.
“These behaviors do not represent the club or its people and, therefore, Real Betis is not willing to allow these isolated behaviors to damage the image of a hobby that has demonstrated its exemplarity throughout its history,” continues the note.
In this sense, the Verdiblanco Club was made available to all the agencies involved in the investigation and reiterated its condemnation of all those racist, xenophobic behaviors, which encourage hate or that threaten the dignity and honor of people.
