RCD Mallorca has condemned this Sunday the racist gestures made by a Mallorcan fan towards the Real Madrid player Aurélien Tchouaméni after the Frenchman scored the goal of the Real Madrid victory at the Mallorca Son Moix Stadium (0-1).
“In the match between RCD Mallorca and Real Madrid yesterday, images were identified in which a person made racist gestures. The club has activated the protocol against violence in football and is collaborating with the National Police in the identification of said person,” indicated the Balearic club.
During the celebration of the goal scored by Tchouaméni in the 48th minute of the match, an individual present in the stands made gestures imitating a monkey towards the Frenchman.
“RCD Mallorca does not and will not tolerate any manifestation of racism and actively participates in all campaigns to eradicate this scourge that goes beyond sport. Once again thank the fans for their exemplary behavior. Let an isolated case not tarnish respect and the sportsmanship of Majorcanism”, concluded the vermilion entity.
