RC Deportivo requests to postpone the entire first day of the First Federation

MADRID, 26 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

RC Deportivo has requested this Friday the postponement of the entire first day in the First RFEF after the Royal Spanish Football Federation has started the process to withdraw DUX Internacional Madrid from the competition, which cannot meet the requirements demanded by the competition.

The club from A Coruña issued a letter to the Sole Judge of Non-Professional Competitions of the RFEF -at 10:40 p.m. this Friday- and affirms that it is not against such a postponement due to the supervening circumstance caused by the International DUX, but they understand that “The dispute on the first day of the First RFEF generates a comparative offense and irreparable damage” for Deportivo.

“The problems that our entity has suffered with the celebration and postponement of different days in previous seasons are already known, which, curiously, is repeated now, even before the RFEF First Competition officially begins”, adds Deportivo de la Coruña in the words of David Villasuso, general manager of the club.

In this sense, the Galician entity stressed that it does not want “in any case to cause any damage to any other club” but they say they are “under an obligation to highlight” this circumstance (…) because “it supposes an obvious damage that violates principles such as the ‘par conditio’ between competitors or even the ‘pro competitione’ principle, both of which must be observed and applied in the legal-sports field”.

In other matters, Deportivo is harmed by the short notice of the postponement, with the consequent damage to its fans, trips, hotels and canceled reservations. In addition to the “break in preseason sports preparation” that this fact produces “given the impossibility of finding an opponent to play a preparation match this weekend.”

“All this allows us to conclude that the fairest and most equitable thing, from a competitive and even economic perspective, is to adopt the decision to postpone the First Day of the League, especially when the competition has not yet officially started, so that, in As the case may be, all clubs or SADs have the same competitive conditions when this postponed day is played and not that said damage falls solely on our entity, the Real Club Deportivo de La Coruña, “he adds.

The sports communication occurs hours after the process against the DUX began. The Madrid team had previously reported that it could not meet the requirements to compete in the third division of national football and that it was not going to show up for its match on the first day of the competition.
