Rayo and Las Palmas make a break for Valencia and Valladolid

MADRID 7 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Rayo Vallecano beat Valencia (0-1) this Saturday on matchday 16 of LaLiga EA Sports and UD Las Palmas defeated Real Valladolid (2-1), two defeats that sank both in the table.

The Madrid team also needed victory like food after three consecutive defeats and, after scoring Pathé Ciss’ goal in the seventh minute, they defended with everything to add three golden points that move them away from the bottom zone (19) . Valencia is second to last there, with 10 points although one game less.

Rubén Baraja’s men extended their bad season and Mestalla unleashed the whistles from very early on. In a corner kick, perhaps preceded by a visiting offside, Rayo took the lead and, during the first half, the second was much closer than the local reaction. Álvaro forgave for Rayo who knew how to defend himself later.

Valencia went one step further and, with Luis Rioja who went out of his way to run and place crosses, generated many arrivals without a reward. Neither in those balls into the area, nor in all the corner kicks they had, Rubén Baraja’s team knew how to beat Batalla. The one who came closest was Rafa Mir, on a couple of good occasions, the last in the 96th minute, on his return to the League and at home three months after being accused of sexual assault.

The crisis is also great in a Valladolid that a week ago dismissed Paulo Pezzolano and that, after six days without winning, sank a little further into the bottom position with nine points. Pucela, led by Álvaro Rubio, suffered the state of grace of Sandro Ramírez and a Las Palmas that, after beating FC Barcelona, achieved another confirmation victory.

In Gran Canaria, the locals took the lead after a great play by Alberto Moleiro that culminated the faith of an inspired Sandro. Shortly after, Lucas Rosa wanted to emulate that same overflow for the visitors, but Kike Pérez’s shot went over the top. However, on the brink of half-time, due to a yellow mistake in defense, Valladolid made it 1-1 with two touches in the small area.

Marcos André’s goal did not bother a Las Palmas team that, since the arrival of Diego Martínez, has confidence through the roof. The Canarian team maintained its idea on the pitch and Sandro hit a left-footed shot into the top corner to make it 2-1, which sparked the Canarian party and left the rival powerless. Las Palmas even forgave the third but added 18 points of great calm.
