Ramón Terrats, five weeks off due to injury

Injuries seem to give Girona no respite this season. The rojiblanco team has not just cleared the infirmary and this Wednesday at noon it has been confirmed that Ramón Terrats will be out for at least five weeks due to a muscle tear in his hamstrings. The midfielder, who could only play 15 minutes last day against Zaragoza, is forced to stop and will miss the rest of the league. His only objective at the moment is to recover as soon as possible and try to reach one hundred percent in a hypothetical playoff for promotion to the First Division.

It is turning into an excessively complicated season for Ramón Terrats because the injuries are weighing him down. At the end of 2021 he suffered a broken tibia that caused him to be out for 10 League games and now, that he was beginning to recover his rhythm and play regular minutes, a new ailment. This comes at another important moment of the campaign because there are only seven days left to finish the championship and Girona wants, first to secure the playoff, and then to hurry up all its direct promotion options (it sees it eight points away). This injury to Terrats is a new setback for Míchel because the versatility of the young rojiblanco player allowed him to act both as a central defender and as a defensive midfielder. It is precisely in this last position where he could have been needed more immediately because Pol Lozano is only one yellow card away from completing his cycle.

Terrats has his sights set on a hypothetical playoff, but first he has to make sure of it. And the first step for this must be taken on Monday against Real Sociedad B. In addition to Terrats, Míchel will continue to have the casualties of the injured Ibrahima Kebe and Dario Sarmiento. Of course, not everything is bad news because, after two games suspended (he was sent off with a direct red card in Almería), Borja García is available again. He is an important piece for the coach and aims to start on Monday in Montilivi against the San Sebastian subsidiary.
