Spanish midfielder Rafinha Alcántara will play for Real Sociedad following an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain for the return of the former Barça player to LaLiga Santander.
“He is a mature player, with experience in the League, who knows Real, who was very excited about coming and who can help us achieve our goals,” said Jokin Aperribay, president of Real, in an interview with The Basque Newspaper.
In the absence of the clubs revealing the details of the agreement, Rafinha is preparing his return to the Spanish League, after signing for PSG a year ago. Barça definitively sold the player who had been on loan in previous years at RC Celta, in two stages, and Inter Milan.
The ‘txuri urdin’ team is sixth in the league table, in the European zone but bad streak after four defeats and a draw in the last five days. The Basque club opted for Rafinha as reinforcement for a midfield that has suffered in recent weeks with the losses of Merino, David Silva and Oyarzabal.
