Rafa Nadal is positive by COVID

Spanish tennis player Rafa Nadal has tested positive for COVID-19 after returning from his participation in the Abu Dhabi tournament, where he reappeared after almost five months away from the courts due to problems with his left foot, the player himself announced in his official Twitter account.

“Hello everyone. I wanted to announce that on my return home after playing the Abu Dhabi tournament, I have tested positive for COVID in the PCR test that was performed on me when I arrived in Spain. I am having some unpleasant moments, but I hope to go improving little by little. Now I am confined at home and I have informed the results to the people who have been in contact with me, “he reported.

In this sense, Rafa Nadal pointed out that in the face of this setback in his recovery to face the Australian Open, the first ‘Grand Slam’ of the season, from January 17 to 30, he will have “total flexibility” to decide his schedule and will go ” analyzing “their options depending on their evolution.

“I will keep you informed of any decisions about my future tournaments.
