Racing Santander, Levante and Eibar take the lead while waiting for Zaragoza

MADRID, 14 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Real Racing Club de Santander, Levante UD and SD Eibar have respectively defeated Real Sporting de Gijón (1-0), CD Eldense (3-1) and CD Tenerife (1-0) during the course of matchday 5 of LaLiga Hypermotion, which this Saturday also saw Málaga CF win at home and by the narrowest of margins against SD Huesca.

At El Sardinero, Clément Michelin scored the only goal of the match shortly before half-time, after a run in the Sporting area to beat their goalkeeper between the legs with a low right-footed shot. The Cantabrians now have 11 points, the same as Levante after coming back against an Eldense side that ended with two players sent off.

Eibar also have 11 points, after securing a win over Tenerife at the start of the second half thanks to a goal from Peru Nolaskoain. The Tenerife team is bottom of the table with just one point, and almost at their opposite poles Málaga and Huesca share the play-off zone for promotion with nine points, after the ‘Boquerona’ victory in their direct duel.

Among other matches to be played on Sunday, there will be Burgos CF (7 pts.) vs Real Zaragoza (10 pts.), with the chance for the team from Zaragoza to return to the top of this Second Division if they beat an opponent with the aim of also going for victory and returning to that coveted ‘playoff’ territory.
