Racing win 1-0 over Náxara during the Second RFEF match that took place this Sunday. Racing Rioja entered the match with the aim of overcoming their league points after suffering a 3-0 loss in the previous match against Burgos Promesas. On the visitors’ side, Náxara was defeated 3-0 in the last game they played against Logroñés B. After the result obtained, Agoncillo’s team is third, while Náxara is sixteenth at the end of the match.
In the first period neither team was successful in front of goal, so the first 45 minutes ended with the same result of 0-0.
Racing Rioja scored a goal in the second half, opening their scoreboard through a goal from Santamaría in the 79th minute, ending the match with the result 1-0.
Both coaches moved the benches. The Racing coach gave entry to Arana, Hamoudi and Yuan Yung for A, Manu Calvo and Fernández, while Náxara gave the green light to Caiman, Guillermo, Mario Alonso and Rafa for Madero, Orodea, Tamayo and Rojo.
The referee sanctioned five players with a yellow card, three for the locals and two for the visitors. On the part of the locals the card went to Marcos Isla, Álvaro Garcia and Fernández and on the part of the visitors to Madero and Javi Martínez.
With this victory, Racing Rioja rises to 32 points and is placed in third place in the standings. For its part, Náxara remains with 13 points, occupying a relegation place to the Third Division, with which it reached this eighteenth day of the competition.
The next day the team will play away from home against CF Ardoi, while Náxara will face Mutilvera at home.
