MADRID 13 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Racing de Santander defeated Levante (1-0) to consolidate its leadership in LaLiga Hypermotion in a direct duel this Sunday on the ninth matchday, while Huesca, third, tied (2-2) with Albacete and Mirandés got into in the promotion zone, beating Burgos in El Plantío (0-1).
At Sardinero, one more step was taken to continue dreaming of returning to the First Division twelve years later, for the three points that reinforced the leadership of the Cantabrian team and for stopping Levante with the same objective. In the 81st minute, Íñigo Vicente caught a ball at the far post to score the only goal of the game.
Racing had control of the duel in the first half, but without chances, and in the second they could have fallen from either side. José Alberto’s men fueled the illusion with 20 points, four more than Zaragoza and Huesca, while Levante was left with 15. The Huesca team also tied this Sunday against Albacete (2-2).
Alcoraz had to accept the point to stay ahead, despite starting ahead with Sielva’s 1-0 at half an hour, a great goal from a direct free kick. The La Mancha team came back with a double from Higinio, one from a penalty, still in the first half, but in the second half, Huesca tried again until Sergi Enrich made it 2-2 in the final stretch for Antonio Hidalgo’s team.
On the other hand, Real Oviedo joined the bandwagon of the promotion zone with a hard-fought victory (3-2) against an Almería team that finished with nine players. The Asturians led 2-0 after 20 minutes, but the Andalusians, with the urgency of moving away from the relegation zone, tied the game with a double from Luis Suárez. Alemao, with another assist from Santi Cazorla, left the three points at the Carlos Tartiere.
Meanwhile, in the direct duel of the derby in El Plantío, Mirandés passed Burgos and entered the ‘Top 6’ with the 0-1 that Hugo Rincón signed ten minutes from the end. Furthermore, Granada continues to look up with Fran Escribá after Siren Diao’s 1-0 in the 91st minute against Córdoba that was reduced to ten in the 39th minute due to a direct red card to Theo Zidane.
In the duel that closed the day this Sunday, Elche and Deportivo de La Coruña shared a nice clash at the Martínez Valero, an insufficient point to aspire to the noble zone of the table. Both teams showed their problem with scoring, although the great performance of Matías Dituro and Helton Leite had a lot to do with the 0-0 scoreline, when the game got lively in the second half.
