Racing exceeds Elche for LaLiga Hypermotion leadership

MADRID 2 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Racing de Santander defeated (2-0) and snatched the Laliga Hypermotion to Elche leadership this Sunday in day 29, while in search of the direct ascent positions the Levant won (1-2) to the Eldense with two goals in the discount.

In the duel for the leadership in the sardinero, the local team came out vertical and stuck to get 2-0 in the first 20 minutes with the goals of Juan Arana and Aritz Aldasoro. Those of Eder Sarabia enjoyed the domain of the ball but this time they did not know how to generate danger, uncomfortable against a serious racing.

Elche gave up the first position that he reached last week against a Racing that returns to the top with 52 points for the 50 of the Ilicitans. The ‘Top 6’ continues in minimal differences, all with the direct ascent to Tire, as the Levante achieved.

The ‘Granota’ set was also placed with 50 points thanks to an epic reaction in the Pepico Amat, where Roger Brugué’s goals, in the 91st minute, and Carlos Espi, in 94, turned the scoreboard. The Eldense was seen outside the descent positions, but finally stayed fourthly.

Meanwhile, Real Oviedo lost (1-2) against Deportivo de la Coruña, his first defeat in Carlos Tartiere in 2025, failing the two positions of direct ascent but in that 50-point jam. The Asturians went from less to more but, after drawing the Galician still in the first half, they did not hit the comeback and Ximo Navarro made 1-2 in 91 ‘.

On the other hand, the day left this Sunday the first defeat of Gaizka Garitano on the bench of Cádiz after eleven games. The Andalusian team fell with a crash (3-0) against a needy albacete.
