Racing de Santander achieved a tight victory at home against Racing Ferrol (1-0)

Racing added three points to its locker after winning 1-0 against Ferrol this Wednesday at the Campos de Sport in El Sardinero. Racing de Santander came into the game in high spirits after beating SD Logroñés 0-1 away from home. On the visitors’ side, Racing Ferrol was defeated 0-1 in the last game they played against Logroñés. After the result obtained, the Santander team is second at the end of the match, while Ferrol is eighth.

The first half of the duel began in an unbeatable way for Racing de Santander, who took advantage of the play to open the scoring with a goal from Satrústegui. With this 1-0, the first part of the match concluded.

Neither team managed to score in the second half, so the match ended 1-0.

The Racing coach, Guillermo Fernández, gave Mantilla, Álvaro Bustos, Patrick Soko, Cedric and Arturo Molina to enter the field to replace Medina, Camus, Yeray Cabanzón, Manu Justo and Domínguez, while for Ferrol, Cristóbal Parralo replaced to Alayeto, Quique Fornos, Álex López and Rodríguez for Castro, Dani Nieto, Fran Manzanara and Héber.

In the game the referee showed three yellow cards to the visiting team. Specifically, he showed a yellow card to Castro, Joselu and Presa.

With this defeat, after finishing the game, Racing Ferrol was in eighth place in the table with 29 points. Racing de Santander, meanwhile, reached second place with 40 points, occupying a playoff spot for promotion to the Second Division.

On the following day, Guillermo Fernández’s team will face Deportivo, while Cristóbal Parralo’s Racing Ferrol will face Rayo Majadahonda.
