Quique went crazy after being sent off against Athletic

Quique Sánchez Flores starred in an embarrassing action against referee Figueroa Vázquez at the conclusion of Getafe-Athletic. The blue coach went crazy after seeing the red one and being sent off. Not even his own players, Carlos Aleñá and Sandro Ramírez were able to stop Quique’s anger as he addressed the referee.

Later, calmer, he analyzed what happened on the GOL TV microphones.

“It has been a concatenation of situations. I barely speak and I’ve been kicked out from the second one. I must calm my anger, but it enters me when I hear expelled, but from then on I can’t stop everything that came after. It has been difficult for me to understand that I have been expelled without saying anything. Obviously there has been a reaction that I should have avoided. I made a quick comment, something like “here yes and there no” and the second they said “expelled”. That’s when I felt bad. It’s something that I have to hold back, it’s my mistake. I regret that the situation has turned out like this. Feeling expelled without opening your mouth in a rough, hard match, of duels, of divided balls, of a lot of friction, shock and fouls, because at that moment I felt unprotected, But being expelled for such a trivial act seemed unfair to me. We were at a level where it was impossible to dialogue. It was just gestures and frustrations. There are cameras and you will see and understand something. We are with very high pulsations. To expel you have to do something serious, but in this case everything has been too fast. But you have to turn the page and talk about the game. “

After the game, the referee of the Andalusian committee wrote the following in the minutes about what happened: “After finishing the game, the assistant referee # 1 tells me that the coach should be sent off for entering the field and addressing the fourth official in an exalted manner and loudly with his arms raised, protesting our decision, telling him: “it was a fault, it was a fault.” He then addressed the assistant referee # 1, protesting repeatedly and repeating the previous sentences with a threatening tone. Once the red is shown, He addressed me aggressively, saying, “Why have you expelled me?” ,” I have not done anything.” After these events, he had to be held by several players and members of the coaching staff repeatedly in order to be removed from the field of play. “

As confirmed by Iturralde González, arbitration analyst at AS and SER, Quique Sánchez Flores will be sanctioned with two suspension matches. This is stated in the disciplinary code of the RFEF in article 120. “Protesting the main referee, the assistants or the fourth referee, as long as it does not constitute a more serious offense, will be sanctioned with suspension of two to three games or for a period of up to one month.” As Quique did not go further with his protests, he will miss two games because there were no insults or shoves towards the referee or his assistant Guadalupe Porrras.
