Full-back Joaquín Marín 'Quini' believes that Granada still has “many things to improve” but that it is “in time to do so” before the “good things” begin next Friday with the first official game of the season against Athletic Club.
Quini indicated, in statements sent by the club, that “despite the results”, two defeats and a draw in the three friendly games played, “there is a positive assessment” of the preseason.
“You have to get the good things out of the preseason, although there are also many things to improve and we have time to do it,” said the full-back.
Quini believes that in the next few days they will have to “correct the mistakes” they had in this Saturday's game against Betis in Marbella (Malaga), in which they lost 2-3.
“Now let's think about Athletic on Friday, which is where the good starts,” he said, referring to the first official game of this season, which will help LaLiga Santander 2020-21 open.
On a personal basis, and after being out since December due to a serious knee injury, he pointed out that “little by little” he is finding “good sessions and taking minutes both in games and in training.”
“I am already completing the training sessions and I am on the line to continue progressing and improving, putting myself in optimal physical shape,” he said.
Quini made it clear that he cannot be “happier” about “returning to training and competing with his teammates after eight months.”
