Quim Torra thanks Messi for his time at Barça: “Catalonia will always be your home”

The president of the Generalitat, Quim Torra, on Tuesday thanked FC Barcelona player Leo Messi for his time at the club and ensured that Catalonia will always be his home, after the Argentine has communicated his desire to leave Barça.

“Catalonia will always be your home. Thank you very much for all this time of happiness and an extraordinary football. We have been very lucky to share a few years of our lives with the best player in the world. And a noble sportsman. We will never forget you. Leo Messi, Creu de Sant Jordi“, has expressed Torra in a message on Twitter picked up by Europa Press.

Messi has communicated this Tuesday his desire to leave the club next season, through a burofax in which the Argentine has explained that he wants to avail himself of the clause of his contract that allows him to terminate unilaterally at the end of the course, according to the Argentine channel TyC Sports.
