Quick Review: The Bears lose a heartbreaker to the Browns in Cleveland.

In Cleveland on Sunday, the Bears were ahead 17–7 going into the fourth quarter, yet the Browns scored 13 straight points to win 20–17. It’s always hard to lose something like this.

The Bears went into the last period with a 17-7 lead thanks to a strong defensive effort. The Browns made the last 13 points, with Dustin Hopkins’ 33-yard field goal ending the game with:32 left in the game and breaking a 17-17 tie.

He said, “At the end of the day, the Browns from Cleveland scored more plays down the stretch than we did.”

“Our guys made plenty of them today, but at the very end they did that…” The guys will look ahead. But it hurts, and it will hurt.

On the last play of the game, Darnell Mooney almost caught Justin Fields’ blocked Hail Mary pass in the end zone from the Cleveland 45. It was close to being a miracle to the Bears.

The ball hit Mooney in the chest as he fell to the ground, but it bounced off of him and into the grasp of secure D’Anthony Bell, who picked it off.

Mooney said, “I tried to turn it over and then hold on to it.” It hit me in the chest. I was already going down. It was hard. It would’ve been crazy. “I wish I had it.”

Three interceptions and four sacks were made by the Bears defense, with Tremaine Edmunds returning a single for a touchdown.

Montez Sweat had 2.5 sacks. The unit held the Browns for 162 yards in the first three quarters, but they gave up 215 yards in the fourth.

Early in the fourth quarter, Hopkins’ 33-yard field goal cut the lead to 17-10. With 3:08 left in the game, Joe Flacco’s 51-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Amari Cooper tied the score at 17-17.

Between two defenders, Cooper caught the ball. He then turned out field and ran down the right corner to the end zone.

“We got into a zone on that particular pass and, to be honest in you, that play should be the one picked,” said Eberflus.

The ball has been in the air for too long, so we need to break on that, imagine on that, or at least deflect it. We’ll work on our principles and technique and go for it again next time.

The Bears’ offense only managed 236 yards as well as 12 first downs. They also failed to convert 4 out of 22 third-down chances (22.2%) and 0 out of 2 fourth-down chances.

There was one touchdown and 19 completions for 166 yards for Fields. He had a 46.5 passer rating, which could have been better if he hadn’t been picked off on Hail Mary passes during the end of both halves. Even though the Bears ran 27 times, they only gained 88 yards.

Fields said, “The defence played a great game.” “I think they played as well as they did for our team.” I think that if I want to get better as the quarterback on this team, we should all work on getting better at attack.

They have a great defensive line and a great rush, so I know the linemen and players wish they had a few plays back. We need to do better. “I need to do better.”

In the last minute of the game, Flacco threw a 34-yard pass to tight end David Njoku on third-and-15 from the Cleveland 47 yard line.

Njoku made Hopkins’ winning field goal possible. Flacco avoided a blitz and lofted a short pass to Njoku.

Njoku ducked a tackle from Tyrique Stevenson and ran down the left corner before being tackled at the Bears’ 19.

The Bears’ record dropped to 5–9 after the loss. They had been ahead by more than ten points in the final minute three times this season, but still lost. That’s what it will always be about.

As Eberflus put it, “it comes into to the basics.” That’s what the tape will be about when you look at it. It’ll be about making plays. We need to make plays in the last few minutes.

On Sunday at 1:00 p.m. ET, the Chicago Bears will go on the road to play the Cleveland Browns at Cleveland Browns Stadium. Both teams are feeling good about this game because they both won their last games.

Justin Fields and DJ Moore were two of the Bears’ most important playmakers. Fields ran for 58 yards and a score, and Moore gained 88 yards and two touchdowns.

Some of the Browns’ best players were Joe Flacco and David Njoku. Flacco threw for 311 yards and three scores, and Njoku caught passes for 91 yards and two touchdowns.

That quarterback was sacked three times before the game was over by the Browns. Martin Emerson Jr. as well as Greg Newsome II helped get the picks.

Chicago is having a great run right now; they’ve won three for their last four games, which has helped their 5-8 mark this season. Cleveland’s record went up to 8-5 with this win, which was their third straight at home.

The Bears want to beat the odds on Sunday because most experts think they’ll lose. They will be the underdogs in this game for the fourth straight game.

People who want to bet on the spread should know that they are 6-1 when playing at home against the spread.

Not only managed both teams win their most recent games, but they also covered the spread to make sure their fans were happy. From what we can tell, the Browns are likely to win by three points, making them the favorite.
