Queen Sofia’s Christmas plan away from Felipe and Letizia

the mother of King Felipe VI has attended this Monday the Christmas concert of the Protective Committee of ‘La Música del Reciclaje’, of which she is the honorary president. The performance took place at the Capitol cinema in Madrid and included an orchestra made of recycled instruments (forks, oil drums or cans) and a choir of children at risk of social exclusion.

doña sofia, passionate about music, was accompanied by her inseparable sister Irene, who was very smiling in the stalls. The queen, dressed in flowing velvet pants and a blue cloth coat, was greeted with cheers and applause.

The concert tries to value the importance of second chances and offers those present a hymn to life. Conducted by the tenor Manuel Zapata, it has had two special collaborations: the participation of ‘Los Chicos del Coro de Saint-Marc’ and that of the Cateura Orchestra, from Paraguay.

Doña Sofía is the only member of Casa Real who has been seen these days. Her daughters, the infantas Elena and Cristina, took advantage of the fact that her children were spending the 24th with their respective parents to travel to Dubai and see Don Juan Carlos. For their part, the kings Felipe and Letizia enjoy homemade plans and have opened the doors of their house to the Ortiz-Rocasolano family, specifically to the queen’s mother, Paloma, with her boyfriend, Marcus; and Telma Ortiz with her partner, lawyer Robert Gavin. Accompanied, by her position, by the youngest of the house: Leonor, Sofía and Telma’s daughters, Amanda (the result of her relationship with Enrique Martín Llopis) and Erin (with her current partner).
