Queen Letizia surprises on social media

Since the Royal Family opened an Instagram account, they have been unstoppable. Leonor and Sofia are, for the moment, the main protagonists of Zarzuela’s 2.0 adventures, but their parents are getting more excited and the queen has even jumped to another account, that of APRAMP. This Tuesday, Queen Letizia has been featured in the non-profit organisation’s new post with a message of solidarity and an unpublished photograph that was taken during the reception of the Balearic society at the Marivent Palace.

The consort posed for the photographers of the Royal House before the guests arrived, some 600. With her new dress with an ethnic print signed by Maksu, the wife of Felipe VI She looks at the camera in a close-up, showing a contented expression and an intense gaze: “So that on this World Day against Trafficking, APRAMP and all national and international entities that work to eradicate this crime, continue with their essential work to restore the dignity of survivors and prevent human trafficking and their exploitation and slavery,” reads the text next to the image of the queen.

The organization indicates that these are words from Doña Letizia in support of the campaign ‘No person is for sale’ against human trafficking, which celebrates its world day on July 30. The post is accompanied by the hashtag ‘A life in dignity’. The queen has been collaborating with the Association for the Prevention, Reintegration and Care of Prostituted Women for 15 years now, being the first ‘royal’ to publicly support this cause. She has even worn two jackets made in the Alma by APRAMP workshops, which helps these women build a future away from the streets.
