Qatari Sheikh to Buy Parma, According to Sky Sport

The end of Serie A could open a new stage for Parma. In fact, 51% of the club's shares will be sold to a Qatari family headed by Hisham Al Hamad Al Mana, as reported by Sky Sport. The agreement provides for the acquisition of 100% of the company's shares within five years. Current management will continue to occupy key positions in the club.

Under this agreement, Parma's current administration will continue to own 49% of the shares and hold key positions within the company precisely to accompany the new ownership in Italian football, but Hisham Al Hamad Al Mana will probably be the new president.

The new Parma property is one of the richest families in Qatar. Regarding investments for the next five years, there is talk of a figure close to 63 million euros. Guido Barilla, one of the seven Parma investors who was reborn after the bankruptcy, will join the club's board of directors for the first time to guarantee this project.

Who is Hisham Al Hamad Al Mana

He is one of the three children of Saleh Al Hamad Al Mana, founder of the Al Mana Group, who since the 1950s turned to the commerce and transport market, but soon the investment portfolio diversified. In recent years, the founder's sons have given a new impetus to the family business by becoming exclusive distributors of Nissan, Infiniti and Renault in Qatar. The automotive sector in turn has proven to be the driving force of new interests that have led the group to become the exclusive distributor of fashion and luxury brands. Diesel, Zara, Sephora, but also McDonald's, Illy, Grom have entered the Mirqab shopping center, the group's shopping center opened in 2017. The Al Mana family also own, directly or through investment funds, numerous luxury hotels in Qatar, beginning with the legendary 'W' Palm in Doha.
