Puma secures Oblak with a contract

Jan Oblak (28 years old) is trading higher and higher, both on and off the field. The Slovenian goalkeeper faces his eighth season at Atlético after having crowned the last one as the MVP of a league championship that his team won. He did it, in addition, adding his fifth Zamora trophy as the goalkeeper with the fewest goals in LaLiga, equaling Víctor Valdés and Ramallets. If he manages to win one more, he would be the only one to win the prize six times. In addition, he has already become the goalkeeper with the most games in the history of Atlético.

The Spanish championship has suffered several casualties. Players like Messi or Sergio Ramos have left the championship. Stars like Cristiano did it before and sports firms seek to position themselves in the new panorama that is being drawn in Spanish football. In this sense, PUMA, the German firm, has carried out an important operation to renew its commitment to Jan Oblak, which is about to be signed. The Atlético goalkeeper is one of the big names left to LaLiga and one of the most sought-after players. PUMA had already worked with Oblak in recent years, but now the meta was still a more appreciated piece, after his recent successes with Atlético. The German firm has managed to bring the talks to a successful conclusion with Miha Mlakar, the inseparable agent of the Slovenian meta, and he has thrown in the rest to ensure the goalkeeper with a great long-term commercial contract very close to being finalized. PUMA will make a very important effort so that the goalkeeper continues to be its image in Spain and everything is on track to reach a successful conclusion.

Oblak.

Oblak has big goals this season. The Champions League is a trophy for which he does not hide his illusion. But, in addition, he intends to continue helping his country's football regain its position on the world stage. It was already vital for Slovenia to get promoted in the League of Nations and the goalkeeper now also has his sights set on the September break, where his team will undertake three very important games to try to get into the fight for the places that give the right to play the next world cup. Slovenia will play Slovakia, Malta and Croatia. Meanwhile, his contract with Atlético has started the countdown. It expires in 2023 so it has already entered its last 24 months of commitment.
