PSG certifies the title in Ligue 1

Messi scored in the final 1-1 against Strasbourg

MADRID, 27 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Paris Saint-Germain was proclaimed champion of the French League, Ligue 1, with the 1-1 draw this Saturday against Strasbourg on the penultimate day, with a goal from Messi to seal the eleventh league for the Parisian team.

Christophe Galtier’s men finished with the accounts at home and already with half a title in their pocket since last week, the consolation for another fiasco in the Champions League. PSG thus achieved its second League title in a row and, with its irruption in Qatari investment in recent years, surpasses Saint-Étienne (10) in the historical record.

Messi gave the point that PSG needed, enough despite the fact that Lens, second, thrashed AC Ajaccio (3-0) also this Saturday. The Argentine scored his 32nd goal with the Parisian team, waiting for him to confirm at some point in the summer whether or not he will continue at PSG.
