Prince Harry pays tribute to his grandmother and remembers the moment Elizabeth II met Meghan

Prince Harry has paid a heartfelt tribute to his grandmother with a heartfelt message, in which he thanked her for her “advice” and her “infectious smile.” In his letter, the son of Diana of Wales has also recalled the moment in which Elizabeth II and his wife, Meghan Markle, met.

First, she explained that her grandmother’s “unwavering grace and dignity” “remained true throughout her life and now in her eternal legacy.”

At the same time, the son of Carlos III has recalled a phrase that Elizabeth II herself pronounced on April 9 last year when her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, died: “Life, of course, consists of final farewells and first encounters”.

In this sense, Meghan’s husband recalls some of the most outstanding moments he has lived with the sovereign: “Grandma, although this final farewell fills us with great sadness, I am forever grateful for our first encounters, from my earliest memories. from my childhood with you, to meeting you for the first time as my commander-in-chief, to the first moment you met my dear wife (Meghan) and hugged your beloved great-grandchildren (Archie and Lilibet).”

Harry goes on to say that his grandmother has been a “compass” for him and for the UK: “We are all reminded of the compass she was to many in their commitment to service and duty.”

William of England’s brother ends his message with a few words of thanks for her and others in memory of his grandfather: “Thank you for your commitment to the service. Thank you for your solid advice. Thank you for your contagious smile. We, too, smile knowing that you and Grandpa are now reunited and the two of you together in peace.”

The mortal remains of Elizabeth II will be transferred to this London from Edinburgh. The monarch passed away at her Scottish residence in Balmoral. Her funeral will be held on Monday the 19th at Westminster Abbey. She will be buried in Windsor next to her husband, in St. George’s Chapel, where the sovereign’s father and her sister, Princess Margaret, also rest.

Harry was surprised by the death of his grandmother in the UK, where he was with Meghan on a mini-tour. Since 2020 both reside in the United States, where they moved after officially leaving the British Royal House.

This Saturday, both reappeared with William and Kate at the gates of Windsor. Despite their differences, in adverse moments they remain united. His eternal memory of Isabel II weighs more than his personal problems at the moment. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex also went to Buckingham, where they received the warmth of the British people.
