Preview, Start Time, TV Plan, Injury Report, and Odds for Wolves vs. Rockets

The Timberwolves only need one more quarter to get the win that they were expected to get going into tonight. They are ahead of the Rockets 80–64, which gives them a bit of a lead.

As long as the Timberwolves play like this, their record will quickly reach 35-15. What about the Rockets? They will have to make do with a 23–26 record unless they quickly improve their play.

The Rockets have had a great three-game home stand, but they are going to have to put on their road uniforms again. On Sunday at 7:00 p.m. ET, they will play the Minnesota Timberwolves at Target Center.

Last time out, the Timberwolves lost, so they’ll be looking to get back on track against the Rockets, who just won.

When the Rockets played the Raptors on Friday, they made sure to score some points because their last game only had 99 points. The Rockets beat the Raptors 135–106, and it seemed like everything went their way.

A balanced attack helped the Rockets win, but Alperen Sengun stepped up and led the way with 24 points along with 13 rebounds.

Sengun wasn’t very helpful for the Rockets in their loss to the Pelicans on Wednesday, but he will be for this game. Cam Whitmore also helped the team. He scored 25 points, grabbed six rebounds, and stole two balls.

Also, last Friday’s game may have been favored by the Timberwolves based on the point spread, but the final score did not reflect that.

By a score of 108-106, they just missed beating Orlando. They were right about the 213.5 points over/under, but they were wrong about who would win.

And Rudy Gobert worked hard for the team that lost; he had a double-double with 22 points and 16 rebounds. Their record went up to 23-25 after their win. Minnesota’s record dropped to 34-15 after their loss.

The Rockets want to escape the odds on Sunday because most experts think they will lose. People who want to bet on the spread should keep in mind that Houston’s last ten games against the Timberwolves have gone 3–7 against the spread.

The last time these two teams played, only the Timberwolves took charge of their fans. This time, neither team was able to cover.

Based on what we know now, the Timberwolves are likely to win by seven points, making them the favorite.

If you want to bet on the spread, keep in mind that Minnesota’s next opponent is the Rockets. In their last ten games against the Rockets, they have gone 7-3 against the spread.

Starting big Rudy Gobert is on the Minnesota Timberwolves “questionable” list because he is said to be having trouble with his ankle.

Jaylen Clark is not likely to play because he will be back with the team after NBA All-Star Weekend.

It’s “questionable” whether or not Jock Landale can play for the Houston Rockets. The doctors will check on him before the game to see if his wrist injury is okay.

Tari Eason isn’t ready to play yet because he hurt his leg and needs to heal by the middle of February.

Steven Adams will likely not play again until next season because he had surgery on his knee. In the first half, if the score was 66–47, the game was pretty much over.
The Houston Rockets (23-25) will leave on Sunday for a four-game road trip.

Their first game will be at the Target Center toward the Minnesota Timberwolves (34-15). The Rockets will play one of the best sides in the NBA to show what they can do.

Some great play from Houston’s rookies helped the team get a big win in its last game against the Toronto Raptors. Coming off the bench, Cam Whitmore scored 25 points, which was the most for the Rockets.

The young forward does this a lot because he wants to show that he deserves a bigger role. Amen, Thompson also did a great job coming off the bench. He scored 19 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and gave out four assists.
