“I don't understand politics or the coronavirus … Why am I going to give my opinion? I wear a cap and I'm shaving badly,” said the Liverpool coach
Jurgen Klopp was upset at the questions about the coronavirus on Tuesday night after his team was eliminated from the FA Cup. The Liverpool manager said his opinion on the matter does not matter, since he is simply someone with a “baseball cap and a bad shave”.
After the defeat against Chelsea (2-0), Klopp was asked if his team was concerned about the spread of the virus or how it could affect them. “Look, what I don't like in life is that (for) something very serious, the opinion of a football coach is important. I don't understand it, “Klopp said at a press conference in Stamford Bridge.
The virus has killed more than 3,000 people worldwide and infected nearly 91,000, which caused several football clubs in Europe to have asked their players, staff and officials not to shake hands in an attempt to curb their propagation “It's not important what famous people say. You have to talk about things the right way. Not people without knowledge, like me, who talk about something,” Klopp added.
“People with knowledge should tell people what to do, and everything will be fine, or not. Not football coaches. I don't understand politics, the coronavirus … Why me? I wear a cap and I'm shaving badly,” I utter sharply.
