Athletic has communicated that the match against Barça that was to be played on Thursday in Lezama has been postponed due to a positive case of Covid-19 in the rojiblanca squad. The clash was scheduled to start at four in the afternoon and corresponded to the 17th day of the Iberdrola League.
“At first and following the health protocol, the Club has proceeded to communicate this situation to Osakidetza. The health authorities have decreed that 10 members of the workforce have the obligation to be in quarantine, as close contacts of the positive. Those affected must remain in home isolation with communication of any symptoms or incidence. The rest of the players who are not in close contact will continue training at the Lezama facilities under the orders of Iraia Iturregi”, Says Athletic in its statement.
The Federation will try to find a date as close as possible “as soon as all the circumstances that allow the disputes of the matches are accredited”, ends the text issued by the Ibaigane entity.
