Pontevedra win against Gimnástica Segoviana (3-0)

Pontevedra signed an outstanding performance after beating Gimnástica Segoviana during the match held at the Pasarón Municipal Stadium this Saturday, which ended with a result of 3-0. Pontevedra entered the match wanting to overcome their league points after losing the last match against Ud Llanera by a score of 1-0. Regarding the visiting team, Gimnástica Segoviana did not go beyond the tables with a score of 0-0 against Salamanca UDS. After the result obtained, the Pontevedra team is second, while Gimnástica Segoviana is sixteenth after the end of the match.

The first team to score was Pontevedra, who kicked off at the Pasarón Municipal Stadium thanks to a goal from the penalty spot by Brais Abelenda in the 28th minute. 2-0 through a double goal by Brais Abelenda in the 37th minute, concluding the first half with a 2-0 lead in the light.

In the second half the local team scored a goal, which increased its advantage with a goal from Rufo near the end, in the 86th minute, thus ending the match with the score of 3-0.

Both coaches made moves on the benches. The coach of Pontevedra gave entry to Romay, Javi Rey, Calvillo, Martín Diz and Santos for Brais Abelenda, Miguel Román, Churre, Álex González and Rubio, while Gimnástica Segoviana gave entry to Rahim Alhassane, De La Mata and Da Gracia for Manu, Mansour and Chupo.

With this brilliant display, Pontevedra rises to 46 points in the Second RFEF and is placed second in the standings. For its part, Gimnástica Segoviana remains with 27 points, occupying a relegation place to the Third Division, with which it reached this twenty-fifth day.

The teams will continue to play their next matches in the Second RFEF: Gimnástica Segoviana will try to return to winning ways in their next duel against Compostela at home, while Pontevedra will play Coruxo away from home.
