MADRID, 2 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –
‘Pirelli’, tire supplier to the Formula 1 World Championship, will take its compounds from the middle of its range this weekend to the new Miami Grand Prix, which will be held on an urban circuit through the streets of the city.
As reported by the Italian company, the pilots will have at the next appointment the compounds ‘C2’ as P Zero White (hard), ‘C3’ as P Zero Yellow (medium) and ‘C4’ as P Zero Red (soft), which which he considers “the most common combination of the season, and also the most versatile” for a track with 19 curves, three straights, numerous elevation changes and a chicane.
“This is the eleventh venue for a Grand Prix in the United States and this time it is new for the entire grid. In ‘Pirelli’ we have had to resort to simulations to confirm our range of tires for this race. The information collected recommends opting for the compounds in the middle zone for this 57-lap event, which will have smooth asphalt and a reasonable level of grip, as well as forces on the tires that will be in line with the usual pattern for the rest of the season.” warned the brand.
