Spar Girona will defend its Copa de la Reina title against Perfumerías Avenida, who will seek the tenth crown of their record, after both teams met this Saturday in the semifinals against Valencia Basket (59-67) and Lointek Gernika Bizkaia (72- 56).
The team from Girona took on the host at La Fonteta, in what was the repeat of last year’s final. The ‘taronja’ team once again saw their cupbearer’s dream truncated against a Girona team that reached its sixth straight final. Gardner, Burke and Laia Flores pulled the champion to continue sweet in Valencia.
Meanwhile, Perfumerías returned to the final after his absence in 2021, in search of reconquest, thanks to a worked pass in which Gernika Bizkaia never gave up. The Salamanca team secured the victory thanks to triples by Copper and Samuelson.
