Pellicer hopes to have Chavarría ready against Albacete

The injuries greatly conditioned the last call and line-up of Sergio Pellicer for the game against Logroñés. The Christmas holidays have given a truce to the Malaga infirmary, which is still very crowded. The long-term injury of Iván Calero has been joined in recent weeks by the Hicham's physical problems, who again suffered a muscle injury in the Cup against Coruxo, Juande, Jozabed, Matos, Chavarría and Benkhemassa.

All these absences, together with the expulsion of Yanis Rahmani in the first half against the Riojan team, left Pellicer with almost no room for maneuver during the match and Malaga was a great part of it with only seven professionals on the pitch. The changes, also marked by the risk of committing an improper alignment, did not arrive until the final minutes.

From the club, therefore, they appreciate the Christmas break, which has provided a huge respite for the team to charge batteries both physically and mentally and, in addition, it can promote the recovery of the injured.

In this sense, Pellicer hopes to count for the next match against Albacete at Carlos Belmonte (Sunday, January 3, 6:15 p.m.) with several of those who lost the duel against Logroñés. A priori, The coach hopes to have Chavarría and Juande, two of his props, already recovered. The forward is an indispensable footballer at the moment in the schemes of the Blue and White coach and the defender has also been fixed in the eleven whenever he has been available.

Besides, also there is moderate optimism regarding the recoveries at Benkhemassa and Matos. Jozabed is not entirely out of the question either for the first meeting of the year. Hicham, on the other hand, has very little chance of making it to the appointment. These four footballers suffer muscular injuries of diverse nature and their reincorporation to the team will depend on the evolution that they are following.

Chavarría finally fell out of the match against Logroñés because the discomfort derived from his muscle injury had not completely subsided. And Juande, still not fully recovered from his shoulder injury, was in the call in case his contest was necessary to avoid undue alignment given the few professionals available.
