Pellegrini: “The joy in the dressing room is logical”

Manuel Pellegrini has made Real Betis the team that has improved the most in the entire First Division from one season to another and has it at the gates of Europe -we will see if the Europa League, Conference … or Champions if there are sanctions- and he understood the celebration of his players after the game for the victory against Granada, which can be almost definitive to seal the European passport. “I think that the joy in the dressing room is logical in a game as important as today. Nine points remain to be played and there is no achievement achieved. From tomorrow we are psyched up to try to score points against Eibar ”, said the Chilean, who also had words for Borja Iglesias, author of the two goals for the Betic team. “I am very happy for him. All teams need a scorer, he appeared at the time the team needed him. He works every day”.

The Betic coach was satisfied with the outcome of the night and the whole day, very favorable to Betic interests. “Very happy with the result. We are facing a very difficult opponent who comes from two very good years. A rocky team, with good players, who had just won Barcelona. I think we had a good first half and a second in which they got the tie through a mistake. But I think those who entered reactivated the team. According to Pellegrini, the changes made in the second half, with the entry of Tello, Lainez and Rodri “activated the team and we ended up doing the last fifteen minutes at a good level”.

“The squad is aware of the support of the Betic fan. I am very happy to have been able to deliver this triumph to them. The six draws are not changed by two wins and four losses. There are a number of things to evaluate in draws. There were never any mental and physical problems. Our intention is to try to score as many points as possible between now and the end of the season, drawing or winning ”, added the Chilean.

Pellegrini explained the ownership of William Carvalho, who lost it months ago: “There were physical and tactical reasons. We played three games in six days. Guarded is coming off some injuries. William had been training well. He made a good first half, then he felt the passage of the game. I think he responded to what he is capable of giving ”.
