The Minister of Culture of the Generalitat, Natàlia Garriga; the mayoress of Barcelona, ​​Ada Colau; the first deputy mayor of Barcelona, ​​Jaume Collboni, and the leader of the PSC, Salvador Illa, also attended the concert this Friday, the day after the president of the Generalitat, Peter Aragonés.

Going out on stage, Serrat drew applause and shouts from the 15,100 people present at the event, before singing the first song of the night, ‘Temps era temps’, and encouraging the audience to have a good time: “I have come to say goodbye with joy. It will be the last but I want to have a great time”, said Serrat.

The farewell tour of the singer-songwriter from Barcelona’s Poble Sec, The vice of singing 1965-2022 began on April 27 at the Beacon Theater in New York, in the United States, and this is the third time he has offered in his hometown, where he also performed on Tuesday and Thursday.

The singer-songwriter Joan Manuel Serrat has said goodbye to the stage this Friday with his third and last concert at the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona, ​​which culminates his farewell tour after 57 years of career, and has said: “Nothing more, thank you very much . It has been a pleasure”. In the statement announcing the farewell tour, Serrat assured that he wanted to say goodbye “personally to the public with whom he has shared life and songs for more than half a century” and that after this tour he will not return to the stage, but that he will continue playing and composing at home.
