MADRID, 22 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The presidents of the Managing Commission of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), Pedro Rocha, and of the Higher Sports Council (CSD), Víctor Francos, and the internationals of the women’s football team will sign this Monday (12:30 p.m.) agreement that includes the agreements reached in Oliva (Valencia).
The Joint Commission of representatives of the RFEF, CSD and the players of the national team, who this day begin their concentration for the two Nations League matches against Italy and Switzerland, will meet at the Ciudad del Fútbol of Las Rozas (Madrid) for the signing of the agreement agreed upon at the end of September to begin a new stage and close the institutional crisis opened by the ‘Rubiales case’.
Among the agreements reached at the meeting promoted in Oliva by the Secretary of State for Sports, Víctor Francos, to begin this new stage included measures of governance, transparency and equality, as well as the replacement of directors such as the former Secretary General of the RFEF Andreu Camps.
This agreement made it possible to close the crisis generated by the kiss on Jenni Hermoso by the former president of the RFEF Luis Rubiales at the medal ceremony of the last World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, and allowed the vast majority of the internationals to decide to stay in concentration and play the two Nations League games against Sweden and Switzerland.
CSD, RFEF and FUTPRO, representing representatives designated by the players, had a technical meeting at the end of September to delve into what was discussed on the long night of Tuesday, September 19 and early in the morning of September 20 in Oliva where it was agreed, among other things , the formation of a Joint Monitoring Commission to promote women’s football and the formal ratification of a General Action Protocol.
