The acting president of the RFEF, Pedro Rocha, affirmed that the institution “is above the people”, disassociated himself from his predecessor, Luis Rubiales, confirmed the continuity of the men’s national coach, Luis de la Fuente, and asked for “a consensus “to ensure that the Iberian candidacy for the organization of the 2030 World Cup triumphs.
“We are very clear that the institution is above the people, it needs a lot of consensus, a lot of unity. Spanish football is represented by five teams. We come to support our teams because the image of Spanish football is important,” he said in Monaco , where he went to attend the draw for the group stage of the 2023-24 Champions League.
