BARCELONA, 4 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Coach Pedro Martínez will continue two more seasons at the helm of BAXI Manresa, until the summer of 2024, and will face the fourth consecutive campaign in his third spell at the Nou Congost club, which this season has led him to play in both the Copa del Rey and the Endesa League Playoffs.
“The coach signs a contract with BAXI Manresa for the next two seasons. His two assistants are also renewed: Marc Estany and Salva Camps,” the Manresa club announced.
The next one will be the ninth season on the Bages bench for Pedro Martínez, the fourth consecutive of this third stage at the club and in his 30th season as coach in the ACB.
After a season that the entity describes as “historic” with that double presence in the Cup and Playoffs, BAXI Manresa ties the continuity of its coach, who currently has more experience in the Endesa League with 948 games behind him.
In Manresa, Pedro Martínez has played a total of 342 games in the total of his three spells on the bench –279 in the league, 21 in the Cup, 12 in the Catalan League and 30 in the Basketball Champions League–, being the coach with the most times he has managed Manresa.
His two assistants, Salva Camps and Marc Estany, will also continue in the team until 2024. Camps was already his assistant in Gran Canaria and arrived in Manresa after Xevi Pujol became Sporting Director of the club. Estany has been Martínez’s squire in the last 3 seasons.
