Pedri: “It’s hard for us to close the games”

MADRID, 13 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The FC Barcelona midfielder Pedri was happy this Thursday for his team’s pass to the final of the Spanish Super Cup after having beaten Real Betis on penalties, at the same time that he recognized the difficulty of the clash and the problem that the culé team so as not to “close” the matches.

“We don’t close the games, it’s hard for us. After the first one there is a moment of relaxation in all the games and we have to change that. If you leave the ball to a team like Betis, it hurts you a lot,” said the footballer in Press conference after the match.

Even so, the Spanish international is already looking forward to the Clásico to decide the Super Cup champion. “Against Madrid we want to dominate the game, we reviewed the previous one and we saw the failures, what we have to improve. They are not going to make it easy for us. We have to put on a great game to win the cup,” he said.

“I didn’t pay much attention to Madrid’s celebration, we have to pay attention to ourselves. We want to win the title and all those who come better. We have to go all out and we are very eager and excited to take the cup home,” he added.

The one who was named MVP of the game wanted to give recognition to his teammate Ter Stegen after his recital of saves during the match and in the penalty shootout. “Marc deserved it much more than me, he has played a great game. Thanks to his saves we are in the final,” he said.

Lastly, the canary spoke about the penalty shootout and its shot in particular. “It was Sergio Alegre’s decision, who is in charge of the team’s strategy. When I arrived, the side was clear and luckily we were all able to score and win,” he concluded.
