Paco López: “We have deserved the 49 points”

Levante coach Paco López was very satisfied this Sunday for having achieved, with 49 points, the second best score in the history of the team in the First Division and said that confirms the desire to “grow and improve” of its staff and that he had deserved them.

“It is not easy to have Levante's second best record and it is to be satisfied and happy. It shows the commitment of the squad,” said Paco López after beating Getafe 1-0 at the end of the competition.

“I knew that the team was not going to drop its arms, that we were going to give it our all and that we were going to compete. We like to win everyone,” added the Valencia coach.

Paco López commented that with the changes in the lineup he was looking for freshness in the team and that the plan against Getafe came out well. “We wanted fast and open players because Getafe pressures you a lot, you had to look for spaces,” he said.

“There was everything and the truth is that sometimes for both teams. It was an open game and we believed until the end,” he added.

The Levante coach also commented that in his opinion the goal annulled by Roger Martí in the second half was legal.

“It had seemed legal to me because it has caught me in the line of the Getafe player and television almost almost confirmed it, but it does not matter because they are situations that are very extreme,” he concluded.
