Paco Díez achieves a majority for a second term in the RFFM

Paco Díez won a majority for a second term at the head of the Real Madrid Football Federation (RFFM) after the elections to members of the General Assembly, in which his candidacy obtained more support than those of Miguel Galán, president of CENAFE Schools, and Jesus Diaz Peramos, President of the Madrid Football Defense Association (ADFM).

Díez, who came to office in December 2016 after defeating Miguel Galán at the polls to replace Vicente Temprado, achieved this Tuesday a majority support among the 90 members that will make up the Assembly, –54 from the club establishment, 7 from the coaches, 7 from referees, 1 from technical informants and 22 from players-, according to the data provided by the RFFM.

The 54 clubs and the 6 most voted referees belong to the candidacy of Diez with which re-election is already assured, without completing the scrutiny, in the Assembly that will vote for the president in a few days.

Voting took place between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. in the federal facilities of Cotorruelo, with strict health and security measures in the face of a pandemic.

Ten has announced for this new period the freezing of federative and arbitration fees for three years, given the current crisis, and the incorporation of the fourth official in Third, at no cost to the clubs.

His projects include training courses for coaches; the creation of committees for women's football, football 7, beach or people with disabilities, in addition to promoting dialogue with fans, with players and help the clubs in the regularization of the financial legal issue.

It also plans to launch an international department to publicize Madrid football in territories of other countries in a new period that It begins after the filing of a complaint against him with the Spanish Federation (RFEF) for mismanagement.
