Pacha: “We have to win”

Uruguayan winger Alfonso ‘Pacha’ Espino addressed the media telematically from the Ciudad Deportiva press room after Thursday’s morning session. The defender maintains the hope of still achieving permanence and is confident of achieving the first victory of the season this Sunday against Rayo Vallecano.

The matches now get even more complicated. “The second round is always complicated because everyone needs points. It’s difficult for us, but we don’t do the math. We have to go game by game, to compete to the maximum in each game. We have to go out and win in every game, press and win in intensity to all the teams”.

win at home “It’s a fact that Cádiz hasn’t won at home, but we haven’t won much away from home either, but we are a strong team at home. In many games we deserved more, we haven’t won due to circumstances. On Sunday we have a nice opportunity to reverse that situation”.

Optimism. “There are a lot of points left. We have to win. I am very convinced that we can get it out, the team has the spark of wanting to win games. We are going to leave everything to try to win. It is repetitive, but I think we are going to achieve it. We only think We’re all prepared to play two games a week and what Rayo does today doesn’t have to matter to us, watch Sunday’s game and think about it”.

The match against Ray. “Today we are all prepared to play two games a week. All the players are fine today. What Rayo does in the Cup doesn’t have to matter to us. We have to think about ourselves, think about Sunday’s game and just in that”.

The push of the fans. “The Cádiz fans have always supported us. They are with us to the last. They have always supported us and I think they will support us until the end of the season. If they believe, they give us a boost”.

Match against Granada. “There was a lot of suffering outside but the way the game went I think we lost two points, but I think the game was very good. In the first 30 minutes we completely beat Granada and if we lost it would be worse, so in the end we had to take the point for granted and try to do well on Sunday at home. He locked himself well back with two lines of four. We lacked a little more fluidity and we couldn’t get into those lines of four”.
