Pablo Muñoz, the great pearl of Rayo likes Atlético and Villarreal

From Vallecas, and despite the economic straits that Rayo’s quarry usually suffers, talents with First Division projection continue to emerge. And powerful clubs than those who claim. It is the case of the midfielder Pablo Muñozwho at 18 is being one of the sensations in the Youth category at the national level with 19 goals despite not being a striker. His last two seasons and the key factor that Contract ends this June 30 and has not yet been renewed for the red-haired team has aroused the interest of Atlético de Madrid, Villarreal and Real Sociedad to incorporate him into their first subsidiaries.

An interest in the future of a young footballer who is aware that he is about to make a significant leap and that is why he recently joined Stellar, the agency that represents Real Madrid players Gareth Bale and Camavinga. Pablo Muñoz’s performance this season, as an extension of last season, is being exceptional. With 19 goals, he is the top scorer in Group V of the División de Honor Juvenil in a group where he competes against the Real Madrid and Atlético youth teams despite not being a center forward. To his credit there have been exhibitions such as his hat-trick to Fuenlabrada (3-1).

Muñoz stands out in a Juvenile rayista directed by former club player Iván Amaya and where he is showing his handling of both legs and his self-confidence. Last day he did, without going any further, a Panenka penalty goal against the Black Arrow.

Rayo, which faces the last two days of the League knowing that it has been mathematically saved, currently has only one youth squad among its first squad: right-back Mario Hernández. There are three more who have been with the first team at different times but are currently on loan outside Vallecas: Joni Montiel in the Oviedo, Sergio Moreno in the Amorebieta and Martin Pascual at Villarreal B. The goalkeeper has also been in Second Division this year and on loan at Fuenlabrada Miguel Angel Morro.
