Pablo Jaramillo: “Hopefully we can repeat the success of Tokyo”

MADRID, 19 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Spanish cyclist Pablo Jaramillo, who won bronze in the team sprint at the Tokyo Paralympic Games, hopes to “repeat” the success of the Japanese event in Paris alongside Ricardo Ten and Alfonso Cabello and get back on the podium.

“The challenge for bronze should be between France, Australia and Spain, and we have to think about doing our best and being at the top. I think that the three of us are doing our homework well; I can’t help but have a good feeling about 1st September and I hope we can repeat what we did in Tokyo,” he said in statements to the Royal Spanish Cycling Federation (RFEC).

In the French capital, the Almeria native will take part in his second Paralympic Games; he will once again be part of the team sprint on the track alongside Ricardo Ten and Alfonso Cabello, with whom he already won bronze in Tokyo 2020.

Now, the Andalusian is finishing off his preparation with Cabello at the Illes Balears Velodrome in Palma de Mallorca. “It’s been an even better preparation than for Tokyo. The Federation is betting a lot on us being in good shape and having training camps and that shows in the end,” he concluded.
